(Patriot.Buzz) – In a harrowing incident that underscores the dangerous consequences of New York City’s migrant crisis, a 35-year-old homeless shelter worker was brutally stabbed to death in Brooklyn while the suspect is at large.
The fatal stabbing occurred shortly before evening at a shelter located at 1691 East New York Ave. in the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn.
The victim, whose identity has not been released, was found with multiple stab wounds to his neck and stomach. Despite being rushed to Brookdale Hospital, the shelter worker succumbed to his injuries.
Law enforcement officials are currently searching for the suspect, described as a 6-foot-1-inch tall man weighing 225 pounds.
The attacker was last seen wearing all-black clothing, including a ski mask and baseball cap.
This horrific incident sheds light on the broader issues plaguing New York City. Since April 2022, the city has been overwhelmed by the arrival of approximately 220,000 illegals, with over 58,000 currently being supported by taxpayer dollars.
The strain on resources and the lack of proper vetting for these individuals have created a perfect storm for increased crime and violence.
In addition, the shelter where the stabbing took place is one of many hotels converted into temporary housing during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This hasty solution, implemented without proper planning or security measures, has led to a surge in crime and put both shelter workers and law-abiding citizens at risk.
Mayor Eric Adams (D-NY) has expressed frustration with the federal government’s lack of support in dealing with the migrant crisis.
However, critics argued that the city’s sanctuary policies and lax approach to illegal immigration have directly contributed to the current state of affairs.
While the Department of Homeless Services calls this incident a “horrific tragedy,” it is clear that more needs to be done to protect American workers and citizens.
The continued prioritization of illegal aliens over the safety and well-being of hardworking Americans is a disgrace and must be addressed immediately.
