Trump Mocks DeSantis

(Patriot.Buzz) – Emphasizing his long-shot rival’s awkward choice of attire to conceal his short stature, former President Donald Trump shared his candid observations about Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, particularly ridiculing DeSantis’ use of high-heel lifts in his cowboy boots.

In a recent interview with Breitbart News, which spanned over two hours at Mar-a-Lago, Trump discussed the lagging runner-up in the 2024 presidential race.

Trump noted, “Did you see him walk off the stage in the last debate? He could barely walk.” He expressed surprise that DeSantis continues wearing the lifts, considering the difficulty he seemed to have walking off the stage during their last debate.

Trump speculated that a skilled debater could challenge DeSantis to reveal his footwear on live television. “Somebody is going to say to him ‘take off those shoes we want to see if they’re high heels.’ He’s going to have no choice but to do it if you had a really good debater. That’s what they’d do because he tries to pretend it doesn’t happen. He walks like a duck.”

The topic of DeSantis’s footwear has generated significant attention in recent months, with allegations that he wears high-heel lifts inside his cowboy boots to appear taller.

During an October interview on the PBD podcast, DeSantis denied these claims, refuting wearing lifts and stating he is 5’11”. He added that his boots were standard Luccheses, lacking any modifications.

This story has gained traction across various media platforms and social media, with multiple outlets like Politico, Vanity Fair, and New York Magazine investing in investigations to ascertain the validity of these claims. A video of DeSantis tripping off stage at a debate has also circulated widely online, fueling further discussion.

Trump himself has previously ridiculed DeSantis’s walk, and other political figures, including former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley and Senator John Fetterman (D-PA), have joined in the mocking.

As the political landscape heats up with the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primary approaching, an increase in Trump’s interviews will share more insights into his views and strategies for the upcoming election season.
