The affected products are 16-ounce, vacuum-sealed packages labeled “FORWARD FARMS GRASS-FED GROUND BEEF,” with a “USE OR FREEZE BY 01/13/26 EST 2083” marking.

The beef was distributed to several states, including California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Pennsylvania, and Washington.

Consumers are urged to dispose of the product or return it for a full refund, despite no illnesses being reported so far. The USDA emphasizes caution as E. coli O26 can cause severe illness, with symptoms manifesting up to 28 days post-exposure.
