After their explosive social media feud last week, tech billionaire Elon Musk reversed course by issuing a public apology to President Trump.

Read the tweet below this post.

The tech billionaire admitted his attacks “went too far” in a stunning reversal that comes amid concerns about potential government consequences for his business empire.

The Tesla and SpaceX CEO posted his mea culpa on X, walking back his inflammatory remarks toward the President.

“I regret some of my posts about President @realDonaldTrump last week. They went too far,” wrote Musk, who has since deleted several of his most aggressive tweets.

The now-deleted posts included shocking allegations connecting Trump to Jeffrey Epstein without evidence and calls for the President’s impeachment.

These statements appeared to blindside many conservatives who had championed Musk as an ally to the MAGA movement.

During a podcast interview, Trump responded to the apology, stating he was disappointed in Musk but harbored “no hard feelings” toward the billionaire.

The President’s response comes after a week of bitter exchanges that threatened Musk’s government contracts and sent Tesla stock plunging.

The feud erupted after Musk publicly criticized the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” calling it a “disgusting abomination” – a direct challenge to one of the President’s signature domestic policy initiatives.

Trump fired back by suggesting that there would be consequences if Musk supported the Democrats, prompting the tech titan to escalate his attacks.

In a move that shocked many, Musk briefly threatened to decommission SpaceX’s Dragon spacecraft before quickly backtracking.

However, Trump has reassured the public that he has no plans to discontinue Musk’s Starlink system at the White House, despite security concerns raised by some officials.

The reconciliation attempt comes after Musk’s 130-day tenure as head of Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) ended abruptly amid the policy disagreements.

Before the blowup, the two had maintained a close relationship since 2024, with Musk backing Trump’s reelection campaign and joining his administration.

Trump has suggested the high-profile disagreement actually helped unite the Republican Party and gain additional support for his legislative agenda.

Moreover, the President’s ability to turn even public feuds into political victories demonstrates why he continues to dominate the political landscape.

Tesla shares, which initially dropped following the public spat, have since recovered most of their losses, showing that investors remain confident in Musk’s business acumen despite his political missteps.
