(Patriot.Buzz) – Signaling her plans to carry out President Donald Trump’s vision for a better America, Homeland Security Secretary nominee Kristi Noem called for a closer interagency collaboration.

During her confirmation hearing, Noem highlighted the urgent need to address the rising number of individuals on the terror watch list who crossed the southern border under Joe Biden’s watch.

Under her command, Noem said the DHS and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency would establish closer ties with the CIA and the FIB to address domestic terrorism.

The South Dakota governor appeared before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee for her confirmation hearing.

Noem wasted no time in addressing the critical issues facing the nation’s security, emphasizing the importance of DHS in the current climate.

“As we face the evolving threats of the 21st century, the mission and the success of DHS is more critical than ever,” Noem said.

“We must be vigilant and proactive and innovative to protect the homeland. The challenges in front of us are extremely significant, and we must secure our borders against illegal trafficking and immigration,” she continued.

One of the most significant revelations during the hearing came when Noem addressed the alarming number of potential terrorists who have entered the country under the current administration.

“382 people on the terror watch list came over the southern border under Biden,” Noem declared, highlighting the urgent need for stricter border control measures.

She further stated:

“We must remain vigilant against terrorism and against others who wish to do harm to our Country and its great people. I will ensure that our intelligence and law enforcement agencies are working together, hand-in-hand, fully equipped to detect, prevent, and respond to threats from radical ideologies or foreign adversaries.

“This requires resources, coordination, and collaboration across all levels of government. Once again, I will seek your wisdom and your input in the months ahead. For the sake of the people we both represent, we must get this right.”

Noem also committed to dismantling one of the Biden administration’s most controversial border policies.

When asked by Sen. James Lankford (R-OK) if she would “use your authority to stop facilitating faster processing of illegal aliens into our country with the CBP One app?” Noem’s response was firm.

“Yes, senator, We will eliminate the CBP One app — maintain some of the data that’s in it that’s critical to knowing who’s in our country — but that app will no longer be in use,” she affirmed.

Noem’s stance on border security aligns closely with Trump’s vision for immigration reform.

If confirmed, she will play a key role in implementing stricter border rules, reducing refugee admissions, and increasing deportations – policies that millions of Americans have been demanding for years.

The nominee also addressed the rise in antisemitic violence, pledging to combat this growing threat.

“I’m very concerned about what we’ve seen in this country as far as antisemitic violence that has happened. In fact, last year during our legislative session I brought legislation to more clearly define it [antisemitism] so that we could fight it in our home state,” Noem said.

Noem added, “I’m hopeful I can work with you to continue to do what we can to make sure that we are addressing this rising threat and not facilitating it in this country.”

As Noem prepares to take the helm of DHS, her commitment to strengthening the nation’s security and addressing the current administration’s failures is clear.

With her leadership, Americans can look forward to a more secure country, with stronger borders and a renewed focus on protecting citizens from both foreign and domestic threats.
