In 1951, 6-year-old Luis Armando Albino was abducted from a park in Oakland, California. A woman lured him away with the promise of candy and took him to the East Coast. Despite major searches, Albino remained missing for over seven decades.
The breakthrough came in 2020 when an online DNA test revealed a 22% match with a man on the East Coast.
This match caught the attention of Albino’s niece, Alida Alequin, who had kept her uncle’s memory alive and never stopped searching for him.
Alequin’s efforts, combined with police and FBI assistance, led to the discovery of Albino, now a retired firefighter and Marine Corps veteran.
