(Patriot.Buzz) – In order to fight back against his ongoing witch-hunt, President-elect Donald Trump’s legal team is battling to block the release of Special Counsel Jack Smith’s reports on alleged election interference and classified documents.
This action exposes the depths of the Deep State’s relentless pursuit to undermine Trump and the will of the American people.
President-elect Trump’s attorneys have taken a firm stand against what they perceive as a blatant abuse of power by requesting Attorney General Merrick Garland to remove Special Counsel Jack Smith and either withhold or defer Smith’s report to Trump’s incoming administration.
This decisive battle comes in response to Smith’s investigations into Trump’s alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 election and the retention of sensitive records, both of which resulted in dismissed indictments.
The legal team’s argument stated that Smith’s appointment was unlawful, a fact already confirmed by a federal judge.
Despite this ruling, the DOJ is appealing, showcasing their desperate attempt to cling to power and continue their witch hunt against Trump.
Moreover, Trump’s lawyers have reviewed a draft of Smith’s report and strongly objected, claiming it violates federal law.
They argued that releasing the reports would not only violate the Presidential Transition Act and Presidential Immunity Doctrine but also the fundamental principle of presumption of innocence.
Trump’s attorneys stated:
“Because Smith has proposed an unlawful course of action, you must countermand his plan and remove him promptly. If Smith is not removed, then the handling of his report should be deferred to President Trump’s incoming attorney general, consistent with the expressed will of the People.”
The timing of these cases against Trump has been criticized as politically motivated, with the Biden administration facing backlash for its apparent attempt to interfere with the 2024 election.
However, true justice prevailed when the Supreme Court ruled that Trump was partially immune from prosecution for official acts while in office, dealing a significant blow to the Democrats’ relentless persecution.
Further vindication came when a Trump-appointed judge dismissed the case on mishandling classified documents, exposing the flimsy nature of the charges.
The DOJ’s own guidance prevents prosecuting a sitting president, a fact that Smith himself had to acknowledge applies to a private citizen-elected president.
As Smith prepares to leave his position before Trump’s triumphant return to the White House, it is clear that this last-ditch effort to release potentially damaging reports is nothing more than a political stunt.
Trump’s lawyers asserted that it would harm the President-elect and attempt to justify the millions of taxpayer dollars wasted on this baseless witch hunt.
