(Patriot.Buzz) – In a blatant display of political persecution, President-elect Donald Trump is still having to fight New York Attorney General Letitia James for refusing to drop the $486 million civil fraud judgment against him.
This decision comes despite Trump’s triumphant re-election and his calls for national unity, revealing the depths of the left’s relentless witch hunt against the MAGA leader.
President Trump’s legal team, led by attorney John Sauer, made a compelling case for dismissing the fraud charges.
Sauer emphasized the need for unity and an end to partisan strife and argued that the ongoing legal battles interfere with Trump’s presidential duties and the greater good of the nation.
“President Trump has called for our Nation’s partisan strife to end, and for the contending factions to join forces for the greater good of the country,” Sauer stated.
“This call for unity extends to the legal onslaught against him and his family that permeated the most recent election cycle,” he added.
However, the New York Attorney General’s office flatly rejected these reasonable arguments. Deputy Solicitor General Judith Vale, seemingly deaf to the will of the American people who re-elected Trump, claimed that presidents do not have immunity from civil lawsuits related to unofficial conduct.
This refusal to drop the case comes despite federal criminal cases against Trump being wisely dropped following his re-election.
“AG James should heed President Trump’s call for national unity and drop this baseless, discredited witch hunt,” said Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung.
The civil fraud case, initiated in 2022, accuses Trump and his associates of inflating assets to gain financial benefits.
Nevertheless, Trump has consistently denied any wrongdoing, maintaining that the case is nothing more than a politically motivated attack designed to undermine his presidency and the MAGA movement.
Furthermore, it is worth noting that this civil case is separate from criminal proceedings and does not impose criminal sanctions.
Yet, the left-wing AG’s office seems determined to use every legal maneuver at its disposal to harass and financially burden a sitting president.
“As counsel for President Trump in this appeal—and now as his nominee for Solicitor General of the United States—I have had the opportunity to experience this partisan division personally, and I strongly believe that it is necessary for the health of our Republic for the strife and lawfare to end,” Sauer claimed.
The total amount owed by Trump, the Trump Organization, and top executives now exceeds $497 million with interest.
This exorbitant sum is a clear attempt to cripple Trump financially and distract him from his presidential duties, all while ignoring the will of the American people who chose him to lead the nation once again.
As this legal battle continues, it is important for all patriots to stand firm against this blatant abuse of power.
