(Patriot.Buzz) – Representative Greg Steube (R-FL) stated that Hunter Biden belonged in prison while accusing the Department of Justice (DOJ) of favoring him, suggesting that the DOJ was being misused for political protection.
During an interview, Steube criticized the federal agency’s response to allegations against Biden, which included lying under oath.
This week, the Ways and Means Committee decided to make public over 100 pages of evidence from IRS whistleblowers that purportedly demonstrate Hunter Biden’s dishonesty during a congressional testimony on February 28.
According to Steube, this evidence clearly showed that Hunter lied three times while under oath, acts that Steube emphasized should be prosecutable offenses.
“Hunter Biden needs to be treated like everyone else,” Steube asserted during his interview. “If this was any other American that committed even half of these crimes, they would already be in prison.”
He claimed that any other American, or particularly a Republican Congress member, would face prison for similar actions, accusing the DOJ of having a double standard that protects the Biden family while aggressively pursuing conservatives for lesser issues.
Moreover, the Republican representative argued for the necessity of a judicial reckoning for Hunter Biden, stressing, “We need to make a recommendation to the Department of Justice for a recommendation of prosecution of Hunter Biden for these three perjury counts. He lied three times on three separation occasions.”
Furthermore, Steube accused the FBI and the DOJ of deliberately delaying the prosecution of tax-related charges brought by the IRS against Hunter, which allowed the statute of limitations to run out.
“That’s how atrocious the Justice Department is under Joe Biden,” he concluded, expressing his dismay over handling the case.
