(Patriot.Buzz) – The U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio accused South Africa, citing the host government’s promotion of dangerous leftist ideologies and attack on private property rights and its anti-American agenda.
Rubio announced he will skip the upcoming G20 talks in Johannesburg and did not mince words in his criticism of South Africa’s recent actions.
“South Africa is doing very bad things. Expropriating private property. Using G20 to promote ‘solidarity, equality, & sustainability,'” he stated, recognizing these as code for the left’s favorite pet projects – DEI and climate change alarmism.
The Secretary’s decision comes in the wake of South Africa’s controversial land reform law, which enables the state to seize land with “equitable compensation.”
This thinly-veiled socialist policy threatens the property rights of white farmers who have owned and worked the land for generations.
President Trump had previously warned South Africa about the dangers of this racist policy targeting white landowners.
Moreover, Rubio emphasized that his primary duty is to advance American interests, not waste taxpayer money on anti-American agendas.
“My job is to advance America’s national interests, not waste taxpayer money or coddle anti-Americanism,” he declared, demonstrating his commitment to putting America First.
I will NOT attend the G20 summit in Johannesburg.
South Africa is doing very bad things. Expropriating private property. Using G20 to promote “solidarity, equality, & sustainability.” In other words: DEI and climate change.
My job is to advance America’s national interests, not…

Tensions between the U.S. and South Africa have been building for some time. Under President Biden’s weak leadership, relations have deteriorated as South Africa cozies up to America’s adversaries.
South Africa’s involvement in the anti-Western BRICS bloc and its stance on the Russia-Ukraine conflict have raised serious concerns about its allegiances.
Even more alarming, South Africa recently launched an international court case accusing Israel of genocide in Gaza, further cementing its position against America’s closest allies.
This blatant attempt to undermine Israel’s right to self-defense against terrorist attacks is a slap in the face to American values and interests.
Elon Musk, the South African-born tech entrepreneur, has also weighed in on the situation.
He accused his home country of having “openly racist laws” and pointed out that his Starlink service is unavailable there due to requirements for Black shareholders – a clear example of reverse discrimination.
While some may criticize Rubio’s decision to skip the G20 talks, it is a necessary step to protect American interests and values.
By refusing to participate in a forum that promotes anti-American ideologies, Rubio is standing up for the principles that make the nation great – free markets, individual liberty, and equal opportunity for all, regardless of race.
As tensions continue to rise between the U.S. and South Africa, it is clear that strong leadership is needed to defend American interests on the world stage.
Secretary Rubio’s principled stand against South Africa’s dangerous leftist agenda sets an example of how America should engage with nations that seek to undermine prosperity and values.
