Americans HATE Them – Both of Them!

(Patriot.Buzz) – For the first timе in American history, a record number of Americans currently have negative views of both major party presidential candidates as we head into the 2024 election.

According to a recent study by the Pew Research Center, this dissatisfaction affects a quarter of the U.S. population, marking the most significant shared disapproval since 1988.

This survey, which gathered responses from 8,638 American adults in mid-May, revealed some interesting dynamics about the public’s opinion of Joе Biden and former President Donald Trump.

This is especially noteworthy since it was conducted before Trump’s recent conviction on multiple felony counts.

In terms of favorability, only 3% of those surveyed hold a positive view of both candidates. While 36% favor only Trump, a nearly equal percentage (34%) prefers Biden alone.

The survey highlighted a deep partisan divide, with 66% of Democrats favoring Biden and only 8% having a favorable view of Trump.

Conversely, 74% of Republicans favor Trump, while Biden gathers positive views from just 6% within the same group.

Overall, both Biden and Trump have experienced a drop in their favorability ratings since 2020.

The survey puts Trump’s current favorability at 39% and Biden’s at 37%. Kamala Harris also has a high unfavorability rating, with 60% viewing her negatively compared to 36% who view her favorably.

The study also noted public opinion about other political leaders. For instance, House Speaker Mike Johnson has a 37% unfavorability rating, with 24% viеwing him favorably.

However, 37% of respondents were not familiar with him. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has a 46% unfavorability rating, with only 27% viewing him positively.

Reflecting on past elections, the survey pointed out that in 2016, 20% of Americans viewed both Trump and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton unfavorably.

Comparatively, in 2012, only 11% of Americans held a negative view of both then-President Barack Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney.

The current political climate shows a sharp increasе in mutual disdain for the leading presidential candidates, which signals a highly likely contentious election cycle ahead.
