Proof: Nuclear War Threat Growing

(Patriot.Buzz) – Signaling a huge escalation of tensions, Iran is reevaluating its stance on weapons of mass destruction due to increasing conflicts and worsening security in the Middle East.

This shift could potentially expand Iran’s influence in the region through its advanced nuclear capabilities and military presence.

The change could further strain relations with Israel and the United States, both of which are nuclear-armed nations.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s top advisor and former foreign minister Kamal Kharrazi discussed the strategic shift, stating, “If Iran’s existence is threatened, we will have to change our nuclear doctrine.”

He claimed that Iran does not currently seek to develop nuclear weapons but threatened such development “is possible and imaginable” under certain circumstances.

This statement follows the first-ever direct confrontation between Iran and Israel after which Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned of possible strikes on Iranian nuclear sites.

Kharrazi suggested that such threats could prompt Iran to revise its “nuclear doctrine” potentially leading to the development of nuclear weapons.

Echoing this perspective, Brigadier General Ahmad Haghtalab of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps underscored the possibility of altering Iran’s nuclear policies in response to evolving threats.

“A revision in the nuclear doctrine and policies of the Islamic Republic and departure from previously stated considerations is possible and conceivable,” he stated.

Although Iran has been issuing nuclear threats for quite some time, analysts suggest the country’s ambitions should not be overlooked.

These developments have alarmed experts like Geneva Graduate Institute senior research associate Farzan Sabet, who noted, “It is a serious discursive shift at a time when regional tensions are quite high.”
