Opening the door to questions regarding Joe Biden’s cognitive decline, his former physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, is being forced to testify under oath before the House Oversight Committee.
Read the tweet further down this post.
The investigation, led by Congressman James Comer (R-KY), aims to determine if Biden’s alleged mental decline led to others making critical decisions during his presidency.
This reveals what Americans were not told about who was truly in charge of the country.
O’Connor, who served as Biden’s doctor since the Obama administration, will testify as part of the committee’s ongoing investigation into Biden’s cognitive state and use of an autopen for signing official government documents.
Republicans view O’Connor as a crucial witness who might confirm suspicions about Biden’s mental capacity during his time in office.
O’Connor’s February 2024 assessment described Biden as “fit for duty” and claimed he “fully executes all of his responsibilities without any exemptions or accommodations.”
Still, many conservatives have questioned the accuracy of these evaluations given Biden’s public speaking difficulties, apparent confusion, and concerning moments caught on camera.
Comer has made it clear that the committee’s investigation aims to ensure Americans received accurate information about Biden’s health.
In correspondence with O’Connor, Comer stated, “The Committee seeks information to ensure accurate information was provided to the American people and your health reports were not subject to any improper influence.”
The Biden administration has consistently denied that anyone other than Joe made key decisions.
At the same time, a former White House official claimed:
“Any accusation that President Biden was not making decisions is false. President Biden made the decisions about the pardons and the executive orders he issued, and the legislation he signed into law.”
Yet, the investigation also focuses on Biden’s use of an autopen for official government business.
This raises questions about who might have authorized these signatures when Biden was potentially incapacitated or unavailable.
While a 2005 Department of Justice memo and a 2024 federal appeals court ruling deemed autopen usage legal, the practice has fueled speculation about who was actually governing.
O’Connor initially refused a transcribed interview due to concerns about patient information disclosure, but will now testify under subpoena.
The committee has also scheduled interviews with former Biden aides Neera Tanden, Anthony Bernal, Ashley Williams, and Annie Tomasini, who agreed to interviews without subpoenas.
Moreover, the Republican-led Senate Judiciary Committee has shown similar interest in investigating Biden’s mental acuity.
Still, its previous public hearing on the topic featured no witnesses with direct knowledge of Biden’s mental fitness.
With the July 9 deposition approaching, patriots and concerned citizens may finally find out whether Biden’s cognitive condition was concealed from the American public.
They will also know if unelected staffers were truly making critical decisions affecting the nation’s future.
