URGENT Health ALERT: THESE Berries Could Be CONTAMINATED!

Yellow product recall sign against cloudy sky
IMPORTANT RECALL ALERT!

URGENT Health Alert: As Americans struggle with daily food alerts and health hazards, another recall for berries is underway due to its highest risk level of listeria contamination.

While the FDA stated that there are “no reported illnesses,” 12,000 pounds of potentially hazardous organic blueberries have been shipped to North Carolina.

The government’s delayed response raises serious questions about how effectively American families are being protected.

Alma Pak International LLC, a Georgia-based company, initiated the pull of 400 boxes of organic blueberries, each weighing 30 pounds.

The products, identifiable by Lot numbers 13325 G1060 and 13325 G1096, were flagged after routine testing revealed the presence of Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

What started as a standard removal on June 9 was suddenly upgraded to a Class I threat by the agency on July 1, signaling the highest possible danger level.

The FDA defines a Class I recall as “a situation in which there is a reasonable probability that the use of or exposure to a violative product will cause serious adverse health consequences or death.”

This alarming classification was not communicated to the public until weeks after the initial discovery, leaving many Americans to wonder what other food safety threats might be going unreported.

While Alma Pak asserted the recall was issued before the blueberries reached consumers, the fact that such a massive amount of contaminated product was processed and shipped at all exposes weaknesses in the food safety protocols.

The company states that it has worked with the FDA, the Georgia Department of Agriculture, and an independent food safety consultant to implement additional safety measures.

Still, consumers wonder why these measures were not in place before contaminated food was processed.

Meanwhile, listeria poses a grave threat to vulnerable Americans, including pregnant women, newborns, seniors, and those with weakened immune systems.

The CDC reported approximately 1,600 listeria infections and 260 deaths annually in the U.S., making this recall especially concerning for families who may have purchased these products.

This is not the first major food safety failure this year. In February, approximately 2 million donuts and other baked goods were recalled due to listeria contamination.

These repeated incidents suggest a pattern of inadequate oversight in the food supply chain that puts American families at risk while government agencies react rather than prevent.

The symptoms of listeria infection can include fever, muscle aches, headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance, and convulsions.

In pregnant women, the consequences can be devastating, potentially leading to miscarriages, stillbirths, premature delivery, or life-threatening infection of newborns.

Americans who believe they may have consumed contaminated blueberries should consult a healthcare provider immediately and monitor for symptoms.

Although listeriosis is treatable with antibiotics, early detection is crucial, especially for those in high-risk groups.

This latest recall serves as a reminder that Americans must remain vigilant about their food sources.

With government agencies often slow to respond and companies cutting corners on safety, the burden of protection increasingly falls on families to research and verify the safety of the foods they bring into their homes.
