300 Illegals Intercepted at Sea

(Patriot.Buzz) – Knowing Joe Biden’s administration would let them into the country without hesitation, over 300 migrants tried to reach the United States last week.

However, according to a recent announcement from the U.S. Coast Guard, they were intercepted at sea and sent back to Haiti and the Bahamas.

The interceptions and subsequent repatriations were part of Operation Vigilant Sentry, a collaborative effort with Homeland Security aimed at managing maritime border security.

“The OVS maritime border security mission is often equal parts law enforcement and humanitarian response, especially as we enter hurricane season and marine weather becomes more severe and unpredictable,” stated Coast Guard enforcement officer Lt. Nick Fujimoto.

Fujimoto also warned potential migrants against making the dangerous sea journey and was emphatic in telling them: “don’t take to the sea and risk your life just to be sent back.”

He also encouraged them to go through legal pathways to enter America, saying, ”Use the safe, orderly and lawful pathways available like the CHNV process,”

During one operation, the Coast Guard cutters Raymond Evans and Richard Etheridge intercepted 109 migrants near Anguilla Cay and transferred them to the Royal Bahamas Defense Force.

Another operation north of Haiti intercepted 196 migrants on Wednesday and Thursday, who were then repatriated on Monday.

The Coast Guard’s routine patrols seek to deter illegal migration by intercepting boats attempting to reach the U.S. shore.

Migrants are typically provided with necessary care and sustenance until they can be safely repatriated.
