(Patriot.Buzz) – Sharing the ongoing rumors circulating among lawmakers, Republican Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna stated that Capitol Hill insiders believe Joe Biden and Kamala Harris may not be the Democratic nominees in the upcoming election.
Luna discussed this during an appearance on Fox News’ “Jesse Watters Primetime” following a meeting that GOP lawmakers had with former President Donald Trump.
During the interview, Luna touched on several topics, including Trump’s views on current international affairs.
“I think the number one issue that he has is, especially a concern for what’s happening right now with Russia, obviously,” Luna explained.
She added that the media is not fully reporting on Russian warships near Cuba and Florida.
More critically, she conveyed Trump’s belief that the situations in Ukraine and Israel would not have occurred under his administration and mentioned he was ready with plans and solutions for these issues moving forward.
Luna also commented on the perception of leadership respect and influence, suggesting that global leaders respected Trump more than Biden.
“I also want to point out that he understands that world leaders respect him and right now with currently what’s coming out of the White House that, you know, a lot of people realize that Joe Biden is likely not going to be the nominee,” she said.
According to Luna, there are whispers that Harris might consider running for governor of California as a result.
Host Jesse Watters pressed Luna over her statements about the Democratic nomination prospects for Biden. “Right, that’s the backup plan. So you are hearing also in D.C. that Joe Biden isn’t going to be the Democrat nominee?” he asked.
Luna confirmed this speculation, saying:
“Correct. It appears that our colleagues are trying to put guardrails on a 2024 presidential election with President Trump and also what you are seeing is according to our pulling, you know as well as I do that they have been trying to really paint Republicans as anti-woman and they’re trying to push an abortion crisis right now with the election and I don’t think that’s a case.
“A lot of the American people know that really this is a state rights decision and so I think that they know that they’re losing. It’s very evident at this point,” she concluded.
Recent polls, including a New York Times/Siena College poll, suggest Trump is gaining traction among traditionally Democratic voter blocs, which indicates a competitive race between him and Biden in 2024.
