(Patriot.Buzz) – Joe Biden is set to face reckoning today and his political future might be at stake, as he is expected to meet Democrat governors and party leaders to address concerns about his mental and physical decline.
Following a challenging debate performance, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear recently voiced concerns about Biden’s well-being.
On CNN’s “The Situation Room,” Beshear suggested that Democratic governors, who have been in close contact with Biden, are eager to ensure he is managing well.
“We want to make sure he’s doing okay,” Beshear explained, indicating that a direct conversation with Biden was planned to address these concerns.
Beshear’s comments came amid broadеr worries within the Democratic Party about Biden’s recent public appearances, particularly his debate with former President Donald Trump, which Beshear described as “rough.”
This sentiment was echoed by other Democratic leaders, including Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who arrangеd a call with fellow governors to discuss the situation.
A meeting between Biden and several Democratic governors is set for today to provide an opportunity for an open dialogue about these concerns.
Beshear emphasized the importance of this meeting, noting, “We all know him. He has formed a personal relationship with us, and he says he is [OK], and we take him at his word, but it’s always good to see somebody in person.”
Amid calls for transparency, Beshear encouraged Biden to be more forthcoming about his health to the public.
“I don’t think that there’s anything wrong with asking the president to talk to the American people a little bit more about his health or that debate performance,” he stated.
This push for clarity comes as some Democratic lawmakers express doubts about Biden’s electoral prospects and his physical readiness for the presidency.
While Beshear did not join calls for Biden to withdraw from the race, he acknowledged the importance of addressing public and party concerns directly.
“If people have those questions, it’d be great for him to answer them directly,” Beshear remarked about Biden’s health.
