The Trump campaign has recommended that the Republican National Committee (RNC) call off the third GOP presidential debate set for Nov. 8 in Miami.

Trump’s senior advisors, Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita, issued a statement expressing that the RNC should prioritize directing its resources towards safeguarding the 2024 elections against perceived threats by Democrats. They further asserted that if the debate continues as planned, it signifies a lack of commitment to grassroots concerns about election security and insinuates a preference for assisting Joe Biden over guaranteeing a protected election.

The forthcoming Republican debate will occur a day following off-year elections in various states. Candidates participating in this debate face tighter criteria, as reported by The Associated Press. To qualify, they must achieve 4% support in several polls and obtain contributions from 70,000 unique donors, as per RNC guidelines.

Chris LaCivita, speaking to NBC News, confirmed that Trump, who currently leads in many party polls, will abstain from attending the Miami event, mirroring his decision for the prior two debates.
