ALERT: Super Bowl Champ Dead

Red light

(Patriot.Buzz) In sad news for sports fans, a member of the Indianapolis Colts 2006 Super Bowl championship squad has passed away at the age of 41. Matt Ulrich, who played for the Colts as an offensive lineman for two seasons, was remembered by team owner Jim Irsay as a great guy and a great dad.

After his NFL career, Ulrich co-founded DexaFit, a company providing body analysis, and was involved in Profitable Ideas Exchange, assisting businesses with growth strategies. Ulrich was also active in coaching and training young athletes.

Ulrich’s profile at Profitable Ideas Exchange emphasized his life, expressing his dedication to his sons, coaching athletes, and his commitment to fitness, saying, “Keeping up with my four pre-teen sons is the highlight of my life and keeps me on my toes,” the portion read. “I also invest my time in helping young athletes in our area reach their full potential through coaching and training — this is one of my true passions. I can also often be found at the gym, where I recently bench-pressed 505 pounds at the age of 40 — the goal-setting doesn’t stop!”

The cause of his death was not disclosed.
