Biden Stops Deportations for WHO?!

(Patriot.Buzz) – In clear capitulation to the whims of terrorists waging war on a key American ally, Joe Biden ordered an 18-month pause on the deportation of specific Palestinian individuals residing in the U.S.

The halt comes amidst escalating tensions in Gaza following Hamas’ surprise deadly attack on Israel that has claimed the lives of thousands.

Biden’s memorandum claimed an ongoing humanitarian crisis and highlighted the peril faced by many civilians in the region. “While I remain focused on improving the humanitarian situation, many civilians remain in danger; therefore, I am directing the deferral of removal of certain Palestinians who are present in the United States,” the document stated.

This directive allows Palestinian tourists, students and workers in the U.S. to remain in the country without the threat of deportation until at least August 2025 with provisions enabling them to apply for work legally.

Biden has previously applied Deferred Enforced Departure to citizens of Liberia and Hong Kong residing in the U.S., as well as to Ukrainians in the U.S. following Russia’s invasion in February 2022.

He elaborated on the policy:

“I further direct the Secretary of Homeland Security to take appropriate measures to authorize employment for noncitizens whose removal has been deferred, as provided by this memorandum, for the duration of such deferral, and to consider suspending regulatory requirements with respect to F-1 nonimmigrant students who are Palestinians as the Secretary of Homeland Security determines to be appropriate.”

White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan described Biden’s order as providing a “temporary safe haven” for Palestinians in the U.S. He said the deferral would apply to “most Palestinians in the United States” with exceptions for individuals convicted of felonies or identified as public safety threats.

Sullivan also mentioned that any Palestinian opting to return voluntarily to the territories would forfeit such protections.

The move has been long-awaited by numerous Democratic legislators who have been appealing to Biden since the previous November to offer deportation relief to Palestinians due to the ongoing conflict.

The Hamas-controlled Gaza Health Ministry claims that 28,576 individuals have been killed in Gaza since Israel declared defensive war. The figures provided do not differentiate between noncombatants and combatants.
