Biden’s Outrageous GOP Attack

Joe Biden

(Patriot.Buzz) – As the border crisis continues to escalate due to the Biden administration’s open border policy, the White House is openly shifting the blame on Republican lawmakers, accusing them of exacerbating the situation.

This criticism coincides with Speaker Mike Johnson and 60 House Republicans planned visit to Eagle Pass, Texas, to address the border crisis directly. Amidst this, Joe Biden’s supplemental spending package, aimed at providing substantial funds to Ukraine and Israel, remains in a congressional deadlock for not containing proper border security measures.

White House spokesperson Andrew Bates condemned the Republicans’ approach to border security, stating, “Actions speak louder than words. House Republicans’ anti-border security record is defined by attempting to cut Customs and Border Protection personnel, opposing President Biden’s record-breaking border security funding, and refusing to take up the President’s supplemental funding request.”

This statement highlights the administration’s attempts to shift the narrative by depicting Republicans’ hesitance to fund military efforts in Ukraine and Israel as a refusal to enact robust border security initiatives.

Totaling $106 billion, the supplemental package proposed by Biden includes emergency funding of over $61 billion for Ukraine, $14.3 billion for Israel, and $13.6 billion for the border crisis. Additional funds of $9.15 billion are allocated for humanitarian assistance in various regions, including Ukraine, Israel, and Gaza.

The administration has expressed concern over the delay in securing additional funding, emphasizing the situation’s urgency and the potential of running out of resources to aid Ukraine by the end of 2023. Biden criticized the Republicans for their early recess, though he has faced similar criticism for his actions during crises.

In response to the White House’s remarks, Speaker Johnson countered by holding the Biden administration accountable for the deteriorating situation at the border. He criticized Biden’s policies for canceling the Remain in Mexico policy and letting migrants misuse parole and asylum systems.

Johnson stated, “While the President requests more funds — not to stop illegal immigration — but to process more illegal immigrants through their ‘catch and release’ policy, he has undermined security at every turn.”

Further highlighting the dire situation at the border, Johnson added that the Biden administration’s policies opened the door for “the record 300,000 illegal immigrants encountered at the Southern border last month.”
