Matthew Perry

(Patriot.Buzz) – The mysterious circumstances surrounding the untimely demise of Matthew Perry, aged 54, are becoming increasingly disconcerting. Perry, known for his role in the iconic television series “Friends”, tragically lost his life in what appears to be a drowning incident at his residence in California this past Saturday.

Reliable sources have confirmed that authorities received a distress call regarding Perry, who was reportedly found unresponsive in his hot tub.

The emergency response teams from the Los Angeles Fire Department and the Los Angeles Police Department arrived on the scene at 4:07 p.m. and 4:10 p.m. respectively.

The identity of the individual who alerted the authorities remains undisclosed. However, according to TMZ, it was Perry’s assistant who made the emergency call. This was after Perry had sent him out on an errand, only to be discovered later in a critical state.

The “Friends” star was reportedly discovered submerged underwater.

A statement from the LAFD, obtained by The New York Post, disclosed, “An adult male patient was deceased prior to first response arrival. The patient was found by a bystander who had re-positioned the victim where the head was out of water.”

The statement elucidated further: “Firefighters pulled the victim out of the jacuzzi and conducted a prompt medical assessment, only to conclude that he was deceased.”

Perry’s parents, Suzanne and John Bennett Perry, along with his stepfather, “Dateline’s” Keith Morrison, were seen visibly distressed outside Perry’s residence. The late actor’s remains were removed from the property that same night.

Although an autopsy has been conducted, the coroner has ordered additional tests, including toxicology, to ascertain the precise cause of death. Such results often require several months to be finalized.

Moreover, the official cause of death was “deferred.”

LAPD Captain Scot Williams, leading the Robbery Homicide Division, stated on Sunday, “The cause of death may not be known for some time, but at this point, foul play is not suspected.”

Additionally, TMZ reported that prescription medications were found and will be included in the investigation, a routine practice in such cases.

Perry’s fame soared as Chandler Bing in “Friends,” a role he played for a decade, contributing to the rise of not only his career but also those of his co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer.
