15.5 Percent of Population Is What?!

(Patriot.Buzz) – In an unashamed attempt to boost his voter base ahead of this year’s general election, the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) revealed that Joe Biden has allowed 6.4 million illegals into America in the last four years.

This alarming surge means that the migrant population in the United States has risen to a record-breaking 51.4 million, which means that one in six individuals or 15.5% of the U.S. was born outside the country.

CIS elaborated on the scale of this demographic shift and said that the immigrant count has surpassed the population of 33 U.S. states combined since Biden’s took office.

The organization’s future projections show that the immigrant population will reach 60 million or 17.5% of the national demographic by the end of Biden’s hypothetical second term.

Currently, the country’s demographic makeup comprises 280 million native-born Americans and 51 million immigrants.

Historical context reminds us that a hundred years ago the U.S. saw a public-driven demand for Congress to limit immigration in 1924, which lasted until 1965. This period of reduced immigration allowed an equitable distribution of wealth generated from industrialization, which made a robust middle class possible.

However, the narrative shifted in 1965 as lobbyists convinced the federal government to liberalize immigration policies, a move that was further expanded under President George H.W. Bush in 1990 and an additional surge under Biden in 2021.

CIS points out that although the majority of immigrants arrive through several of the government’s legal pathways, the illegal immigrant population has risen to around four million under Biden’s watch, for a total of 14 million as of February 2024.

Biden’s dramatic escalation in immigration has been allowed by a coalition comprising the Democratic Party’s political machinery, Wall Street financial backers and a host of open-border liberal proponents.

This pro-immigration alliance is stronger in urban centers, which rely on a constant influx of new arrivals to replace Americans fleeing from crime and cost-burdened cities to more suburban and rural locations. For instance, New York’s political leadership has advocated for taxpayer-funded legal services for immigrants to boost the city’s economy.

Critically, such immigration policies are broadly unpopular among the American public, but they persist since they are championed by officials who argue for alleged economic and cultural benefits of integrating refugees and asylees.
