Biden’s 65 Million Condoms

Joe Biden

(Patriot.Buzz) – Highlighting the blatant misuse of taxpayer funds to spread the leftwing agenda around the world, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) started a significant initiative, distributing over 65 million condoms globally as part of its family planning program in the fiscal year 2022.

This effort, which also included the distribution of 9.8 million injectable birth control products and 334,000 IUDs, is seen not only as a measure for family planning but also as an alleged solution to climate change.

According to a USAID document, this program is designed to mitigate the impact of population dynamics on natural resources and state stability. In a 2023 document, USAID explicitly correlates climate vulnerability with population growth and the unmet need for family planning, advocating for family planning to address climate change.

The agency targets various countries for this program, including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Guatemala, Haiti, Pakistan, and Uganda. Beyond family planning, the distribution of contraceptives aims to address broader issues such as reducing AIDS incidence, enhancing educational outcomes for women, and decreasing abortion rates.

In a specific instance, USAID’s “Strengthening Family Planning Services in Yemen” program delivered half a million condoms over several years, with a significant portion reportedly ‘consumed,’ according to USAID’s report on the Yemen program.

USAID’s overview document highlights the progress made in the 41 countries where it focuses its support, noting an increase in modern contraceptive prevalence to 34% and a decline in average family size to 3.9.

The agency further links climate change and family planning in its 2023 primer, asserting that access to rights-based planning and girls’ education are among the most impactful climate solutions.

The primer also claims that climate change-related displacement can exacerbate gender inequalities, including disruptions in access to health services, poor maternal health outcomes, increased gender-based violence, and child marriage.

The distribution of contraceptives by USAID, along with its stance on climate change, reflects a growing discourse among leftwing proponents of increased government funds on climate change.

These advocates often argue that population growth adversely impacts the environment due to increased resource consumption. Some even claim that a population decline could lead to a more sustainable world.
