(Patriot.Buzz) – Following a series of worrying gaffes and a damaging report highlighting he is unfit for office, Dr. Phil McGraw recently weighed in on the ongoing conversation regarding Joe Biden’s cognitive health.
This commentary came about during Dr. Phil’s appearance on Bill Maher’s show “Overtime,” where Maher queried whether Biden should submit to a mental test.
Wondering why Biden has been reluctant to address his issues, Dr. Phil then suggested Biden should undergo a cognitive examination as “[p]eople that have nothing to hide, hide nothing,” which prompted approval from the audience.
Although the White House has repeatedly assured that 81-year-old Biden, who holds the record as the oldest serving U.S. president, remains unaffected by cognitive decline, doubts persist.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre recently said that Biden does not require a cognitive test and supported her statement with the opinion of Biden’s physician.
Jean-Pierre went even further and claimed that Biden effectively demonstrates his cognitive capabilities daily by navigating different topics seamlessly.
However a report from Special Counsel Robert Hur cast a shadow on these assertions by saying that Biden would unlikely face criminal charges over allegations of mishandling classified documents since he would portray himself as a “sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”
Further escalating concerns, Biden has made several public gaffes, including references to conversations with dead global leaders and mixing up the names of the leaders of Mexico and Egypt during a press conference intended to address these cognitive problems.
Reflecting the views of voters from seven key battleground states, a survey from Bloomberg News/Morning Consult found that a significant majority perceive Biden as “too old” for his presidential role.
In a particularly interesting segment of Maher’s show, the host delivered a satirical State of the Union address as Biden, mocking his age, saying, “Just admit it, say yes, I’m bad with names and I walk like a toddler with a full diaper.”
