NEW: Judge Hammers Hunter Biden

(Patriot.Buzz) – Restoring our faith in a legal system that has consistently targeted former President Donald Trump to stop him from retaking the White House, U.S. District Judge Mark Scarsi of the Central District of California unanimously shot down Hunter Biden’s attempts to get nine federal tax allegations dismissed.

Hunter’s charges stemmed from Special Counsel David Weiss’s probe against him and prompted Joe Biden’s son to fight them using several legal and procedural arguments.

His legal team’s efforts to dismiss the accusations were based on several grounds including a failed pretrial-diversion agreement, questions about Weiss’ role as special counsel, claims of selective prosecution and alleged misconduct by IRS whistleblowers Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler.

In a thorough 80-page verdict, Judge Scarsi carefully examined and negated each of Hunter’s arguments by spotlighting the controversy around his diversion agreement and a guilty plea that collapsed last summer.

Although Hunter’s legal team claimed that the agreement protected him from being prosecuted, Scarsi stated that the deal was conditional upon a probation officer’s endorsement that never came to be.

Scarsi also dismissed allegations that Weiss was improperly appointed as special counsel and refuted Hunter’s challenge on constitutional grounds. He further discredited Biden’s selective prosecution plea and criticized the misinterpretation of sources and the lack of substantive evidence.

“As the Court stated at the hearing, Defendant filed his motion without any evidence. The motion is remarkable in that it fails to include a single declaration, exhibit, or request for judicial notice,” Scarsi stated.

Addressing allegations of “outrageous government conduct” tied to whistleblowers Shapley and Ziegler, Scarsi found no precedent that warranted dismissing prosecution on such grounds.

He also affirmed the indictment’s legal adequacy and shot down Hunter’s attempt to quash specific counts on various legal bases, including duplicity and improper venue. Ultimately, a jury will decide on one of the counts.

In response to the court’s rulings, Hunter’s attorney, Abbe D. Lowell, disagreed with the ruling and vowed to challenge “the abnormal way the Special Counsel handled this investigation and charged this case.”

Hunter’s trial is set for late June, as the legal battle over his tax evasion and failure to report over $1 million in taxes from significant income between 2016 and 2019 continues to unfold.
