An Indiana National Guard member who was stationed in the region under the directives of Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s Operation Lone Star intervened after witnessing an illegal attack another.

“[A] National Guard service member assigned to Operation Lone Star discharged a weapon in a border-related incident. The incident is under investigation,” said the Texas Military Department in a communication.
Following the incident, the accused attacker retreated across the border back into Mexico.

The probe into this incident further revealed that two other illegals had suffered stab wounds in the course of these events.
Emergency medical personnel arrived promptly on the scene to provide care for the injuries, which were determined to be minor and not life-threatening.
