(Patriot.Buzz) – After discovering a huge scheme endangering America, Republican Texas Governor Greg Abbott did not spare his words when discussing a National Guardsman who broke his oath to protect the country.
During a recent appearance on Fox News, Abbott strongly criticized the man in question after he was caught smuggling an illegal into America.

Identified as Savion Johnson, The Guardsman was charged with smuggling a person, evading arrest and illegal weapon possession.
Abbott, expressing his disdain and said, “I consider this person to be a traitor,” when discussing Johnson for going against Texas’s efforts to curb illegal immigration.
During the interview with “America’s Newsroom” co-hosts Dana Perino and Bill Hemmer, Abbott stated, “We are using our national guard to repel and to stop illegal immigration. To have a member of the National Guard be involved in assisting illegal immigration is reprehensible.”
“Know this: I just recently signed a law that increased the penalties for smuggling illegal immigrants to a mandatory minimum of 10 years behind bars,” he added.
Abbott stated that he hoped the Guardsmen would face jail time for more than 10 years for his offense.
“But let me use this as a public information message. If there is anybody who comes in and smuggles illegal immigrants, and you’re gonna be caught, you’re gonna be spending a long time behind bars in Texas,” he concluded.
This incident comes after Abbott signed Senate Bill 4, which charges anyone entering Texas illegally with a misdemeanor.
The law sparked legal challenges from the Justice Department, which seeks to prevent it from being implemented.
Data from the United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) highlights the current problem of keeping the border secure.
Over 849,469 migrant encounters have been recorded in the current fiscal year and figures have surpassed 2 million in 2023, which reflects a complex issue at the southern border that Democrats refuse to address.
